Dr. Stella Peng

General Dentist

Meet Dr. Stella Peng, a compassionate and dedicated General Dentist who believes in putting patients first. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and Human Biology from the University of Toronto, and subsequently completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in 2025. Since then, she has committed to delivering high-quality dental care to her patients.

Dr. Peng is passionate about all aspects of general dentistry and remains actively engaged in continuing education and community outreach. She believes in patient-centered, accessible, and inclusive care, as well as in promoting long-term oral health through patient education. Her efforts in advocacy, community service, and involvement in multiple leadership positions both locally and nationally were recognized when she was honored with the Outstanding Student Leader Award by the American College of Dentists. Always eager to bring the latest advancements to her patients, Dr. Peng is currently conducting research on how artificial intelligence can be used in dentistry to make diagnoses more accurate, treatment planning more precise, and care more personalized. She is also qualified to administer nitrous oxide sedation, helping patients feel more comfortable during their visits.

Dr. Peng is fluent in both English and Mandarin, allowing her to assist a diverse range of patients more effectively. In her free time, Dr. Peng enjoys traveling, playing badminton, tennis, skiing, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Zeus.
Dr. Sanaya Engineer

General Dentist

Meet Dr. Sanaya Engineer, a dedicated and compassionate General Dentist.

Dr. Engineer earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University in 2025, and has been practicing dentistry since then.

Passionate about all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Engineer is committed to lifelong learning, professional growth and giving back to the community. She has provided care in a variety of settings, from urgent care to outreach clinics, addressing a range of dental needs across diverse patient populations. Outside the clinic, she has held leadership roles at both local and national levels, advocating for ethics, professionalism, and equity in oral health. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the Outstanding Student Leadership Award from the American College of Dentists. As part of her academic journey, Dr. Engineer also contributed to research on the longevity of dental restorations, advancing the profession's understanding of restorative materials. She is a strong believer in personalized treatment, open communication, and education to foster trust and promote long-term oral health.

Dr. Engineer is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi, allowing her to assist a diverse range of patients more effectively. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Brian Latwaitis

General Dentist

Dr. Brian Latwaitis has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years.

During his many years of dental practice in Halifax, he also taught clinical skills to many dental students through his affiliation with Dalhousie Dental School.

He continues to take courses to be current in his skills and scope of practice. Lately, he has been working in Guatemala offering dental care to those who would otherwise not have access to it.

In his spare time, Dr. Latwaitis has recently replaced marathon running with biking and looks forward to his annual fishing adventures with his friends.
Dr. Ernie Wotton

General Dentist

Dr. Ernie is a graduate of Dalhousie University and attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in 2005 for training in cosmetic dentistry.

He is a true believer in ongoing education and makes sure that he and his team attend as many educational seminars and conferences they can fit in. Continually improving and honing your skillset is part of being a great dental practitioner.

Dr. Ernie enjoys hunting with his sons and the dogs or enjoying a meal at his favourite restaurant, Gabrieau's.
Dr. Paul Cameron

General Dentist

Dr. Paul Cameron was born and raised in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. He attended St. F.X. University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology in 1985. He then attended Dalhousie University, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S) in 1989.

Dr. Cameron was chosen to give his class Valedictorian address at his graduation. Immediately following graduation, Dr. Cameron began practicing dentistry in Antigonish. Dr. Cameron has been providing dental services to the community for over 31 years.
Dr. Garrett LeGallais

General Dentist

Dr. Garrett LeGallais is originally from Bedford, NS. He attended Dalhousie University for his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He was awarded an honours degree in physics and mathematics in 2016 followed by a master's degree in physics in 2016. He then attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland where he completed his dental degree. Dr. LeGallais enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

In his free time he likes to go mountain biking, fishing, and boating.
Dr. Stefan Juckes

General Dentist

Dr. Stefan Juckes grew up in Halifax. He attended Dalhousie for his undergraduate and master's degrees, both in Physics. His research interests included carbon nanotubes, stainless steel corrosion and dental composite resins. He went to the University of Toronto for his D.D.S, and graduated in 2023. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but particularly enjoys oral surgery. He is qualified to administer nitrous oxide sedation.

Outside of dentistry his hobbies include photography, cycling, running, cooking and skiing. He has been a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol at Ski Wentworth for the last 10 years, and volunteers most weekends during the winter.
